It’s the middle of September which means a changing of the guards in terms of what to do over the weekend.  Sadly, the beach chairs and barbecues are being packed away for the winter, and the hoodies are making their way out of the closet to help fight the Fall chill, but September does offer something that you can’t get any other time of year; back to school parties.  You know those three weeks where bars throw blowouts in an effort to entice returning students with ridiculous deals in order to keep them coming back the rest of the semester?  Well they’re here, and this weekend there will probably be no shortage of them.

Where will the best one be? Limerick’s Irish Pub in Selden, NY.

Yes, I am recommending venturing into that no man’s land between Route 110 and the east end of Long Island, but this party should be well worth the trip.  It will be hosted by four5six and feature music from Suffolk County’s own DJ Almighty plus Beer Pong and some can’t miss drink specials (see the flyer above for details).  It might be a little bit of a hike for all of you coming from the boroughs or Nassau County, but with the deals in effect for a full four hours, you’ll still get your money’s worth.  Plus this might be a chance to experience something other than the Hofstra/Adelphi bar scene and those way to expensive voyages into the city.

If you’re interested in checking it out, and you should be.  You can also get more information on the event on the facebook invite.  Hope to see you there!
